With winter in full swing snow is piling up around town and fire hydrants are becoming covered with snow. If you have a fire hydrant in your yard or neighborhood we would ask that you ADOPT THE HYDRANT and keep the snow clear about 2 feet around the hydrant. There are several hydrants around town that are partially or completely buried. It can take 10+ minutes to dig out a fire hydrant when the snow is packed and frozen around it. A house fire can double in size every minute. So please help us by cleaning out your neighborhood fire hydrants!!!! ADOPT A HYDRANT TODAY!!!!
