I am a Rockwell native, born and raised. I got started in EMS by taking an EMT class to fill a semester in college and immediately fell in love with it. I went to Paramedic school shortly after getting my EMT certification. Upon completing my Paramedic, I joined the Iowa Army National Guard as a Medic with an Infantry unit. I started my career with jobs with Franklin General Hospital, Clear Lake Fire Department, and Mason City Fire Department. I now reside in Waverly and work as a Firefighter/Paramedic at Waterloo Fire Rescue, and still work EMS services at Clear Lake Fire Department as needed. In my free time I like to stay as active outdoors as possible. I enjoy snowboarding, four wheeling, hunting, and scuba diving. Physical fitness is a big part of our jobs and a great stress reliever, and it consumes much of my free time as well.
