The Clear Lake Fire Department usually interviews new recruits once or twice a year depending on the need for additional volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications
o At least 18 years old
o Must live within City Limits or 2 Miles from Station
o Clean Criminal Background
o Good Physical Shape
o Attend Company Meetings/ Trainings
o Participate in Fundraising and community events
Application Process
o Talk with a current CLFD member and determine if the CLFD is right for you
o Complete Application Packet
o Interview with recruiting committee
o Complete background check
o Complete Physical Exam
o Gear Assignment/ FIT Test
o Attend 24 Hours of Rookie School (Infection Control, CPR, Basic First Aid, Firefighting Tactics)
