2009 CLFD Monthly Training Schedule January: Truck Inventory Check, Pump Maintenance February: Trucks winter operations, Water Delivery at Rural Scene (use of manifold on E4 to avoid using portable tank in cold weather), don?t run out of water in the tank, keep water circulating while waiting at a rural scene, open nozzles to flow a little water. March: Weekend Ice Rescue, utilizing other resources, similar to last year?s ice rescue training April: Burn Building: Search/Rescue: FF Down!! May-Day!! RIT, Pak Trackers, wall breaching, diminished clearance, extricating downed FF in the building. May: What?s gonna work? Team work! Rock climbing tower at the Baptist Camp? Rookie School? Burn for RS? June: Keefe: Fire Investigation. What to do/not do. What to look for. Death investigation? July: Open water rescue. Boat, marina firefighting, too. August: Car Fire; Extrication: Get two cars one for JAWS exercise one for burning up. Pro Pak for overhaul. September: Ag Rescue: Tractor or Combine Rollover, Ag entanglement, Grain Bin Rescue (Use of Air bags, cribbing, Rescue 42 Tools) October: Wild land/Crop Land Fire Training November: Live Burn: Laddering the Roof/Ventilation, 2nd Story Window Extrication (Abandon farm house anywhere we could use/burn up??) December: EMS Training. Basic First Aid: Splints, C-Collars, Bleeding, Bandages, Check Red Bags, Blue Bags (pull stuff out to see what is in there and its uses?)
